This campground provides 22 campsites and two public-use cabins. It can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet long. There are also two cabins that can be rented.
One thing to keep in mind is the road noise from the adjacent highway, which some visitors find distracting. Occasional train sounds add to the activity, making this less of a retreat for solitude and more of a practical base for adventures.
Campsite privacy varies; some spots have a good buffer of trees, while others are more exposed. Despite its limitations, Bird Creek Campground remains a popular stop, especially for travelers looking for opportunities to camp near Anchorage.

Sites cost $20 per night and there is a credit card payment machine, making it easy to claim a spot if you don’t carry a lot of cash these days (like me).
